Why Juice Fast?

Juice fasting (also known as a liquid diet) is one of the most effective and enjoyable ways to perform a deep cellular cleanse. We call it a Fast-Track to Healing. The reason for this is that it is very effective and very intense at the same time. If you have a reasonably high level of health and would like to take it to the next level, a juice fast, if done correctly, can help you achieve a much deeper health reset than while you continue to consume food.

Juice fasting is a cleanse and works based on the following principles:

  • You give your digestive system a break by minimizing the time required for nutrient digestion. As a result, the body can allocate its energy to restoring its organs and systems.

  • You greatly limit the toxic substances that enter your body. This further empowers your body to start releasing old toxins, which it could not have done before, as it was busy with day-to-day detoxification.

  • Juices provide the body with abundant nutrients it can use simultaneously for its daily functions' maintenance, cleansing and self-restoration.

  • Deep Cellular hydration – juices contain large amounts of easily-absorbable water. Dehydration is one of the primary contributing factors to most modern diseases, including headaches, foggy brain, arthritis and even cancer. When the body has access to abundant and pure fluids, it can utilize them as needed, whether for toxin removal or organ regeneration.

  • Enhanced weight loss – because you do not consume cooked or high-calorie foods, your body has to use its own fat storage to produce energy. Weight loss on Juice Fasting happens typically faster than when you eat a raw food diet (though you'll typically lose weight during both).

  • The top benefit of a Juice Fast: all body systems are activated to work on purging and regenerating themselves, rather than just the liver cleanse or the colon cleanse. It is the whole-body activation.

Essential Elements of Juice Fasting (that we use)

  1. Fresh Juice

We are not talking about once-a-week made juices shipped to your home or store-bought juices that are often made from concentrate and contain natural flavours and other stuff.

We use freshly squeezed green juices made on-site daily. The reason we choose green juices is due to their anti-inflammatory qualities, high concentration of nutrients (which is what horses and elephants use to build their muscles), and tissue-restoration properties.

In your program, we use two 8-oz organic green juices per day, half of which consist of green leafy vegetables, such as dandelion leaves, kale, spinach, chard, parsley, and collards. The other half consists of a combination of either celery/ apple juice or celery/ cucumber (you can choose).

  1. Digestive Cleanse

There is a misconception that juices remove toxins. This is not quite true. Juices dissolve toxins, but because they lack fibre, they cannot remove them through the intestinal tract. Because of this, a digestive system cleanse is essential for eliminating the released toxins.

A great example of why it is important is a story about the Greek god, Hercules, who was requested by the god Obadiah to clean his old horse stables. As you can imagine, the stables did not have the best smell and were loaded with heaps of old, stinky horse manure. To resolve the task, Heracles took the closest river and redirected it to the stables, which allowed him to remove the piles of poop very quickly.

The same principle applies when you release toxins with juices. You need a powerful pressure washer to ensure that toxins are removed properly and do not reabsorb back into the system.

At Fresh Start, we use three methods to accomplish this:

  • Isotonic Flush that cleanses your entire GI track, from mouth to stomach to small intestine to colon. This flush, much like a pressure hose, very effectively circulates through your entire body, removing accumulated matter. We do this flush twice a week.
  • Colonics: In addition to the flush, we use two colon hydrotherapy sessions per week to enhance the effects of Isotonic. Water is gently introduced to your colon and enters the colon pockets, where parasites often reside and may remain for a long time. There is also mucus, old toxic bile and old fecal matter removed.
  • Prune Smoothie: on all fasting days, you'll receive this drink every morning, to ensure your bowels move smoothly.
  1. Blood Sugar Stabilization and Curbing Hunger

We generally do not recommend juice fasting for people with a strong tendency towards sugar destabilization. However, many people suffer from a small degree of hypoglycemia, without knowing it. Some signs of hypoglycemia are shaking or a severe drop in energy when not eating for a few hours.

To help your body maintain stable blood sugar levels throughout the day, we provide you with a high-quality protein shake twice a day.

Additionally, you receive a Blood Sugar Stabilizing and GI Moving Fibre, as well as a Fibre Flax Drink, each once a day. These drinks not only help to keep your blood sugar level, but also ensure your bowels are moving properly.

  1. Trace Minerals

Trace minerals are essential for supporting your body's absorption of protein, aiding in kidney detoxification, and maintaining electrolyte balance. Because of this, trace minerals and other minerals should be included in every juice fast.

At Fresh Start, we utilize a variety of sources, including high-quality electrolytes, Cell Food, and Trace Mineral Drops.

  1. Sleep Support

When you are cleansing and your organs are activating, your sleep quality may temporarily worsen. Liver time is 1-3 a.m., and if you wake up often during that time, it means that the organ is either overloaded or self-cleansing (like during the cleansing period).

We want to note that if a person has severe insomnia/ sleep dysregulation, Juice Fast may not be the best option for him/her, because it will aggravate it. However, in all other cases, a Juice Fast, once completed, typically improves your sleep.

We use a gentle Sleep Enhancing Tea every night to help your nervous system calm down.

  1. Warm fluids

When you are fasting, your body temperature drops. Having a daily blended soup will help you warm up your body and stomach.

  1. Entrance and Exit from Fast

Preparation for a Juice Fast will help you decrease the cleansing symptoms and go through it smoothly. At Fresh Start, we begin your Juice Program with organic, vegan meals high in raw food content to ensure a smooth transition.

Additionally, we recommend that you undergo a 1–2-week pre-program preparation by following the specific dietary guidelines that we will provide. It will make your experience so much smoother.

Everyone who juices or water fasts knows that the most important aspect of fasting is a proper exit. You will exit your fast with meals that are easy to digest and portioned. All you'll need to do is ensure you chew properly. A proper exit may prevent overeating and associated symptoms, such as bloating, indigestion, and even illness, potentially leading to hospitalization.

Length of Entry on Meals: 1.5 Days (=4 meals)

Length of Exit on Meals: 1.5 days (=4 meals, except for 5 days it is 3 meals)

  1. Professional Guidance

For over 20 years, Fresh Start has specialized in Whole Body Detox, Juice Fasting, and Health Restoration Programs for individuals with various health conditions. Our experienced staff will conduct daily check-ins and provide you with the necessary support. Your program includes a $100 incidental budget for 5-day/ $150 incidental budget for 7-day programs. This budget may be used by your Program Director, in case you need additional sleep aid, laxatives or other supplements. We have a wide range of products and protocols to use if your body may need them.

  1. Bodywork

Relaxing your body is critical when you cleanse. When you relax your muscles and ligaments, toxins flow out more effectively. All program packages include a Massage and Salt Scrub. Additionally, depending on the package and add-ons chosen, you can also opt for other therapies, which will greatly support your body and mind during the cleansing process.

A Juice Fast + Cleanse is a powerful way to help your cells detoxify and help your body regenerate at a deeper level. Your Whole body Cleanse consisting of various herbal cleanses, such as Liver, Lung, Kidney, Parasite and for 9-Day Blood Cleanse, with sleep and adrenal support.

What Symptoms Can I Experience During the Juice Fasting?

The whole-body cleansing process here is well-organized and structured, resulting in very mild symptoms for most people. On Digestive Flush days, you will undergo a deeper detox. Symptoms that you may experience during your program (the list is not exhaustive):

  • Headache (especially if you are withdrawing from caffeine)
  • Sleep disturbances (due to liver detoxing and/or pre-existing sleep issues)
  • Nausea, in rare cases, vomiting (due to liver detoxing)
  • Feeling cold/lower body temperature
  • Sugar shakes, especially if there is adrenal burnout
  • Decreased energy
  • Sleepiness
  • Brain fog (due to the removal of toxins)
  • Irritability
  • Skin eruptions
  • Increased sweating
  • Nightmares
  • Digestive bloating (due to toxic gases being eliminated)
  • Diarrhea
  • Constipation (due to the removal of caffeine and other stimulants)
  • Going to the bathroom more often
  • Abdominal cramping (if old impactions are moving)
  • Bad breath
  • Increased body odour
  • Mucous discharge from the sinuses
  • Metallic taste in the mouth (a sign of heavy metal and liver detoxing)
  • Muscle aches and weakness
  • Skin itchiness

The symptoms above are normal and typically pass within a few hours or days, usually followed by a feeling of increased well-being and the lightness you crave. It may take some time to fully regain your energy levels, especially if you have experienced a previous burnout.

We emphasize that those with health conditions may experience more severe symptoms related to the malfunction of various organs. This program is contraindicated for them.

Disclaimer: Though the symptoms are much milder on the Health Reboot Program vs the Fasting program, you may experience them on both. When the body gets access to rest and quality nutrition, it automatically starts the self-cleansing process.
